FIREFIGHTERS are working to clean up hundreds of severely burnt trees after a grass fire in Cranbourne on Monday afternoon.
CFA firefighters were called to Brookland Green Reserve off Cherry Hills Drive about 5.15pm to reports of a grass fire close to the horse stables.

The fire was declared under control just before 7pm, with firefighters and a water bomber stopping the spread of the blaze.
Earlier, people living near the grassland were told to move two streets back with the fire expected to get dangerously close to homes.
An advice message remains in place for Botanic Ridge, Cranbourne, Cranbourne South and Cranbourne West.
“There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions,” it reads.
“Grassfires can create a lot of smoke. Firefighters will be in the area cleaning up after this fire for some time.”
