FOOTBALL glamour couple Marc and Jessie Murphy have spoken of their joy at starting a family with their first child due in January.
As Father’s Day approaches, Carlton captain Marc said he and Jessie were ready for the next chapter of their life as parents after tying the knot in December.
“We both feel the time is right for us and I am really excited about it; I can’t wait to be a dad,” Marc said.
Jessie added: “Marc and I are very fortunate and very lucky that we are expecting a little one in the new year.
“He (Marc) is going to be amazing. He has so much patience and I can’t wait to see him as a father.
“We have already found out we are having a boy and we are thrilled about becoming parents.
“We are both really family orientated and it was something we both wanted when the time was right and that time happened to be this year. It is exciting to be starting our own little family and to move on to that new chapter and journey.”
Jessie, one of Melbourne’s most stylish and photographed women, with a following of almost 200,000 on Instagram, is sharing her fashion knowledge this spring by hosting Race Ready workshops at Eastland Shopping Centre on September 17 and 24.
“I love fashion and I am really excited to be working with Eastland during the Spring Racing Carnival hosting the Race Ready workshops and advising on key racewear trends,” she said.
“I think the key to putting together an outfit is to start with something you love and then build around that.
“Some people are obsessed with shoes or some are obsessed with millinery or some people are obsessed with a dress.”
She encouraged racegoers to have some fun with their fashion choices and not be frightened to add a unique or expected element to an outfit.
“Have a think about what works best for you and then think outside the box,” she said.
“I think that is where you can create an edge to an outfit. It can be an interesting print or the choice of a bold colour, or it can be finding a great accessory.”
“Don’t leave things to the last minute. Get in early, make a day of it with your friends at Eastland, and have some fun.”
