An elderly woman in a wheelchair has been left with a broken eye socket after she was allegedly assaulted by a policeman outside the Northern Hospital.

An elderly woman says she was assaulted by a policeman at a northern suburbs hospital.
An officer was this month charged over the alleged attack on Sylvia Villani, 70, at the Northern Hospital in Epping in April.
Mrs Villani told Channel 9 she was in a wheelchair when the officer struck her.
She said she was left with a broken eye socket after the alleged incident.
“It was painful. I can’t walk. I can’t sit. I’m buggered,” Mrs Villani said.
She said she had called the officer some “nasty words” but did not deserve what happened.
A constable from the northwest metro region has been charged after an internal investigation.
He is facing one count of recklessly causing injury.
