Police allege the driver was a 13-year-old boy from Dandenong, who has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving and unlicensed driving.

He was bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Three other Dandenong boys, aged between 15 and 16, were each charged with theft of motor vehicle and all bailed to appear at a children’s court.

Two 17-year-old boys, from Frankston and Narre Warren, were hit with the same charge.

They too were bailed.

A Cranbourne North boy, 17, was charged with the same offence before appearing at an out of sessions court hearing, before being granted bail.

A Doveton boy, 14, was remanded after he was charged with theft of motor vehicle.

He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

The charges come after a separate gang of teens, with a boy as young as 14, were arrested after they stole a car and ploughed into a church on Wednesday.

The group allegedly threatened a 25-year-old man with axes in Airport West before they made off with his black Mercedes and left him with minor injuries.

They sped off at speeds of up to 160km/h along the Western Ring Rd before smashed into the Keilor East church before they were arrested.
