The Porsche driver who allegedly taunted and filmed a dying police officer has listed a Doncaster East townhouse with price hopes of up to $1.045 million.
Title documents confirm Richard Pusey — who was taken into custody in the aftermath of April’s horror Eastern Freeway crash that killed four officers — as the owner of the modern four-bedroom pad at 1/6 Champion St.
The two-storey townhouse is part of a $12 million property portfolio owned by the jailed Mr Pusey and his wife, Anh Truong, which also includes a Fitzroy warehouse home they paid $3.4 million for in 2016.
That property was graffitied with the word “die” after the Eastern Freeway tragedy.
The 41-year-old mortgage broker also has a West Melbourne terrace worth about $1.35 million, two other properties in Doncaster East and land in Lower Templestowe in his name, The Australian has previously reported.
CoreLogic records show the Champion St property was built in 2016 and has listed for rent several times since then, most recently for $600 per week in late 2018.
It’s now for sale with a $950,000-$1.045 million price guide, via an expressions of interest campaign closing June 30.
Selling agency RT Edgar Manningham is marketing the townhouse as offering “a modern atmosphere in a great location in the heart of Doncaster East” and showcasing “supreme living” ideal for families.
The ground floor features an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space that flows out to a pergola and a small garden.
Two of the bedrooms have a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite — one downstairs and another upstairs, where there are two other bedrooms and a retreat with a balcony.
A remote-operated double garage and garden shed complete the property, which the listing said was “within short walking distance of Jackson Court shopping piazza (and) bus stops around the corner”, and also near Westfield and schools.
The Herald Sun contacted listing agent Dennis Dellas for comment.
Mr Pusey has been charged with 12 offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, failing to render assistance, destroying evidence and committing offences while on bail.
He was on bail and allegedly high on ice when his Porsche was pulled over travelling 149km/h on Eastern Freeway on April 22.
Moments later, a truck ploughed into and killed responding officers Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Josh Prestney and Constable Glen Humphris.
Mr Pusey allegedly taunted the dying officers, filming their cries for help before fleeing the scene.
