Double-killer Robyn Lindholm’s mother says her jailed daughter is still ‘a beautiful soul’ despite crimes

The mother of black widow double-killer Robyn Lindholm says her daughter is “still a beautiful soul” despite murdering two ex-lovers.

The mother of black widow double-killer Robyn Lindholm says her daughter is a “beautiful soul”.

Lindholm is in a maximum security jail for the murder of two men, her ex-lovers Wayne Amey and George Teazis.

She is also entangled in a missing persons squad investigation into the disappearance and suspected murder of young mum Shari Davison.

Davison – a stripping industry colleague of Lindholm – vanished from Footscray in February, 1995.

But Lindholm’s mother Dorothy has come forward to claim her daughter is not how she has been portrayed.

“My Robyn is still a beautiful soul,” Dorothy said.

The 82-year-old mum defended her daughter over Amey, a Hawthorn gym owner whose stabbed, battered and choked body was found dumped between boulders at Mount Korong, in central Victoria, after his 2013 murder.

Lindholm persuaded another lover, Torsten Trabert, and John Ryan, to kill Mr Amey.

She later pleaded guilty to the murder of Amey and was sentenced to serve 25 years in prison.

“You don’t know how my daughter was hung over the balcony 12 storeys up. Wayne Amey was going to kill her,” Dorothy said.

Police suspect Amey was having an affair with Lindholm at the time he allegedly killed Teazis – her lover of six years – in 1995.

Lindholm, 47, was convicted in the Supreme Court and jailed for 28 years over the murder of Teazis, who also went by the surname Templeton.

His body has never been found.

“She knows nothing about George Teazis’ murder,” Dorothy said.

The Davison case remains under police investigation and was last year the subject of a renewed push by detectives for public help.

Teazis – a criminal involved in amphetamine and weapons trading – has previously been named as a suspect in the Davison disappearance.

Ms Davison was renting a home with an associate of Teazis at the time she vanished and had spoken of fears for her safety.

A $1 million reward is in place in the case of Ms Davison, who vanished after returning home from a night out with friends at Crown Casino.

She worked with Lindholm out of the Simply Irresistible stripper agency and they are believed to have been good friends.

The colourful Lindholm was, at one point, also the girlfriend of notorious gangster Alphonse Gangitano.

Gangitano, himself a murder suspect, was shot dead by Jason Moran in a 1997 underworld hit at Templestowe, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.

Lindholm is doing time quietly in the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre prison at Deer Park.

She will be aged in her 70s before being eligible for release on parole.

Trabert and Ryan are also serving long stretches over the Amey murder.

Ryan received a 31-year term and Trabert 28 after they were pleaded not guilty and went to trial.
