Docklands floating ATET nightclub making a comeback

A Docklands floating nightclub is ready to get the party started again, after it was dramatically shut down last year.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, ATET nightclub is returning for one night only in December after what has been a hellish few years since the Docklands venue first opened.

After the water based venue was torched in January 2023 the family operated business has been in a long-running battle to keep the nightclub up and floating.

In its lifetime, including the fire, ATET’s operating licence has been terminated, a planning permit was granted for a new location before being rescinded and a notice of default was issued for exceeding noise levels.

All of this has led to a multimillion-dollar legal battle with the local council.

But ATET has now taken to social media with a cryptic message and video to announce the comeback event.

“New look, same vibe. We’re making the impossible happen. ATET is coming back for ONE NIGHT ONLY - Saturday 14th December. This time we’re taking the party out to the bay,” it read.

The one night only party announcement comes just days after Lalor man Jemli Reuben Williams Mariner was told he would face a one-day committal hearing over the fire.
