WHEN TV host Carrie Bickmore made her emotional speech to raise awareness about brain cancer at the Logies three years ago, complete with beanie, she had no idea the lasting and powerful impact it would have .
She beganwith no plans other than to bring awareness to the insidious disease that killed her husband Greg in 2010, but in under three years her project has raised $4.5 million, with hopes for a further $5 million this year.

The beanie became a symbol of the cause with the first lot of 25,000 Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer selling out in an hour in 2016. The colourful new collection launches on May 1.
This year, the Cotton On Group will help with customer support and delivery of the beanies.
Bickmore is thrilled that the federal government has pledged to match dollar for dollar every donation from her project over the next five years up to $5 million to the new $100 million Brain Cancer Mission.
