Check out these campsites on the Bellarine Peninsula and around Geelong.
GLAMPING AND FAMILY
Big4 Beacon Resort, Queenscliff
For a camping experience with all the bells and whistles, pitch a tent at the award-winning Big4 Beacon Resort in Queenscliff.
Much more than a holiday resort, this park has a day spa — Mud Day Spa — as well as a new 24-hour gym and heated swimming pool.
Guests can stock up on supplies at the on-site shop, which is full of local produce.
MOST SCENIC
Barwon Heads Caravan Park
The stunning location at the mouth of the Barwon River offers guests waterfront camping sites with views of the Barwon River and out to the ocean.
Made famous as the setting for ABC television series Seachange, the park is in the heart of town, meaning guests can easily walk to the main street filled with trendy cafes, restaurants and shops.
Popular surf beach, 13th Beach, is also within easy walking distance.
HIDDEN GEM
Breamlea Caravan Park
Tucked off the main road between Barwon Heads and Torquay is Breamlea.
The caravan park is off the main road, looking on to the picturesque Thompsons Creek on one side, with a surf beach on the other side.
The caravan park has powered and unpowered sites, on-site cabins, and a general store.

MOST SECLUDED
Brisbane Ranges National Park
A little more than an hour’s drive from Melbourne, the Brisbane Ranges National Park is where you can find the state’s richest wildflower habitat.
The park has a handful of camping sites, some walk-in only.
A popular option is Fridays Camping and Picnic Area which provides a great base for bushwalking and exploring the historic gold mining area of Steiglitz Historic Park.
