Woman robs ride-share driver at knifepoint before spitting on police

A woman has been arrested after she allegedly robbed a ride-share driver at knifepoint on Saturday morning before spitting on arresting police officers.
At around 5am on Saturday morning police were called to Waterloo Corner Rd, Paralowie, where a 27-year-old Park Holme man was threatened by a woman who stole his phone before fleeing on foot.
A witness told police the suspect had fled to a nearby address. When police attended, the woman allegedly spat on three officers.
A 22-year-old Elizabeth South woman has been charged with aggravated robbery and three counts of assaulting a prescribed emergency worker.
She was refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
It comes after a string of taxi robberies in Adelaide’s north in February where drivers were threatened at knifepoint.
Following investigations, police arrested a man of no fixed address, 48, and charged him over two northern suburbs robberies.
A Renown Park man, 27, was also arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and illegal use.
