Forget messy splits and heart wrenching break ups (although there has been a few of those since last time). This list is all about love.
From that dizzying new love to beautiful true love and marriage, we’ve chronicled the most luminous Adelaide ‘It’ couples — from business duo powerhouses to athletes and their forever supportive partners.
Mia Vidale and Ned Raggatt
You may notice one half of this beautiful duo from last year’s “It couple” list but this year, the story has a new chapter.
Ned Raggatt, director of HWR Media, was previously spotlighted on this very list alongside a different partner, only for that relationship to end shortly after.
“I didn’t expect to be single,” he said. “I wasn’t even sure I wanted to date.”
Safe to say, Mr Raggatt is back on the list.
Love found him again — this time in Mia Vidale, a bright and grounded creative who had also recently come out of a long-term relationship.
Their connection is undeniable.
“She’s wise beyond her years,” Mr Raggatt said.
“Her moral compass is so strong. She makes you want to be better.”
Ms Vidale, 26, says she was drawn to the 35-year-old’s charismatic personality and dry humour.
“He’s so funny and witty but has the most beautiful heart at the same time,” she said.
The pair are not only one of South Australia’s ‘It’ couples but are also work colleagues.
Ms Vidale’s mother, Paula Vidale, may actually be the reason the loved-up couple ended up together — because if it wasn’t for her, they may have never even met.
“My mum met Ned out one night at East End Cellars,” Ms Vidale said.
“She was asking Ned what he does for work and he said I’m a director of a media company and my mum was said ‘my daughter’s actually studying media’.”
Ms Vidale ended up working at HWR Media as an intern, having only small amounts to do with Mr Raggatt until years later when she became SA Style’s head of sales.
“We were just colleagues but over time something shifted,” Ms Vidale said.
She said there’s nothing more she enjoys than going to work every day and seeing the person she loves.
“We work so well as a team when we’re going out to meet clients.”
But the couple, who are now apartment hunting, said they have established a rule to stop talking about work once the work day is done.
“We’ve set a rule to leave work at work – a balance we’ve learnt to manage,” Mr Raggatt said.
“We want to protect the good stuff.
“Of course, that doesn’t happen all the time but I’ve been mindful of making sure we spend quality time together on top of business.”
When they shared their relationship news with colleagues, the reaction was overwhelmingly positive.
“We were greeted with hugs and the warmest response, which was so lovely” Ms Vidale said.
Ms Vidale said each day she wakes up and Mr Raggatt has brought her a matcha or they go out and get a coffee together at their local spot.
“I don’t think I’ve ever met somebody that makes me laugh so much, and it’s a feeling I want to have forever” Ms Vidale said.
Mr Raggatt said there has never been a person that has made him feel the way Ms Vidale does.
The couple hear wedding bells in their future with the pair saying they both haven’t felt “so sure” of anyone more in their life.
But for the moment, they’re just enjoying every moment together.
Annaleese Caruso and Antonio Caruso
For those who obsess over an enemies to lovers plot will fall in love with Annaleese and Antonio Caruso’s story.
The now-28-year-old Ms Caruso met now-34-year-old Mr Caruso at an engagement party.
“(I) thought Antonio was arrogant,” Ms Caruso, who is a model and singer, said.
“(I) thought Annaleese was young and immature,” Mr Caruso, who is a professional MMA fighter, said.
But the pair kept accidentally bumping into each other.
They eventually realised their first impressions of each other were completely unfounded and fell in love.
Eventually, Mr Caruso popped the question in Alaska.
“He proposed after a ride through the snow on dog sleds,” Ms Caruso said. “We stopped at a beautiful white snowy view and he got down on one knee and completely took me by surprise.”
The couple love travelling the world, supporting each other — with Ms Caruso having recently been a contestant on season 13 of Voice Australia and a national finalist in Miss Universe Australia and Mr Caruso in his MMA fighting career.
“We have had some really amazing dates — a helicopter ride through the Grand Canyon, dinner and a show at the Moulin Rouge in New York, visiting the Space Needle in Seattle, just to name a few,” Ms Caruso said.
“We both absolutely love food and travelling.”
The loved-up couple are looking forward to their next chapter as they continue to tick off their goals and start a family.
Allira Potter and Imogen Morris
When Allira Potter was on holiday in Adelaide visiting friends she decided to have a “cheeky swipe” on Tinder because why not?
She matched with the beautiful Imogen Morris and showed her friend in case they knew her and of course, in typical Adelaide-fashion, they did — in fact they’d even played football together.
“Next minute, we were on a first date,” Ms Potter, who was living in Geelong at the time, told The Advertiser.
The pair dated long-distance for a year until Ms Potter, who is a model and content creator, moved to Adelaide to be with Ms Morris.
“My first impression of Allira was that she came across as really shy and nervous for someone who is so extroverted online,” Ms Morris said.
While Ms Potter said her first impression of Ms Morris was “how confident and beautiful” she was.
“I never went on dates because I always got so overwhelmed meeting new people but she had this sense of calmness about her,” Ms Potter said.
Ms Potter eventually proposed to Ms Morris on a trip to Victoria — in Ms Potter’s hometown.
“Imogen was under the impression we were doing a photo shoot for a brand,” she said.
“Prior to her arriving at a local beach in Torquay, Victoria, I had organised flowers to be set up on the ground and had my friend Michael filmed the whole proposal.
“I wanted the proposal to be memorable and something we would both always talk about.
“I think she was totally caught off guard and of course, she said yes.”
The pair plan on eloping in Queenstown in New Zealand in August this year.
“We honestly can’t wait to get married,” Ms Potter said.
“I feel like it’s only just the beginning … the future holds so much for us.”
Georgina Neves and Kaka Demebele
Kaka Demebele replied to one of Georgina Neves’s dating profile prompts on Hinge and the rest is history.
The 30-year-old makeup artist and 29-year-old gym manager have been official since Mr Demebele asked Ms Neves to be his girlfriend two and a half years ago.
“He had the most infectious smile, we couldn’t stop talking and it just felt so easy and comfortable,” Ms Neves said of her first impression of Mr Demebele.
“And obviously he was a very handsome man.”
Mr Demebele said his first impression of Ms Neves was her “beautiful smile and warm energy”.
The pair have had many memorable dates together — whether they are mini-golfing, go-karting, or going for dinner or walks along the beach.
They both can’t get enough of each other.
Ms Neves’s most memorable date with Mr Demebele was their first dinner date at a Japanese restaurant.
“It was our first official dinner date and it allowed us to get to know each other on a deeper level,” she said.
While for Mr Demebele, he loved an impromptu beach date the pair had.
“We were driving home and decided to grab fish and chips,” he said.
“I had a picnic rug in my car. We just sat on the beach for a couple of hours talking and connecting while watching the sunset.”
We will be keeping an eye on this ‘It’ couple who have their eyes on marriage, home and starting a family. They may even have a couple of dogs in their future too.
Samantha Aimes-Costa and Jesse Aimes-Costa
This business powerhouse duo have found true love in the face of adversity.
With Samantha Aimes-Costa’s mother Susan Telfer heartbreakingly receiving a terminal diagnosis only six weeks into Ms Aimes-Costa’s relationship with Jesse, she told her new boyfriend at the time to “leave”.
“We were great together even then but with Mum being terminal, that’s a lot to take on for a brand new relationship,” she said.
“I didn’t want to be a burden, I knew it was going to be a long, sad road ahead.”
But for Mr Aimes-Costa, he was all in and eight weeks later, he proposed to Ms Aimes-Costa in the Adelaide Hills.
The couple, who co-founded beauty brand Call Me Daddy together, married in an intimate ceremony at Mitolo Wines followed by an afterparty in the city with their wider group of friends.
“My favourite memory was that Sam and I stayed together the night before the wedding at the Sofitel and had a big morning walk together along the Torrens before getting ready with our bridal party,” Mr Aimes-Costa, who is also a personal trainer, said.
“We had our first look in the hotel, she was beautiful and I was so happy to see her again, and then we all went down together, it was full of love and enjoyment.”
Mr and Ms Aimes-Costa met “the old fashioned way” on Tinder and it was “love at first swipe”.
“I thought Jesse was catfishing me, there was no way someone could be that hot,” Ms Aimes-Costa, who is a lash technician, said.
“He was so nice over message, I thought no one this nice could be this hot.”
Mr Aimes-Costa was very keen to meet his future-wife when he saw her on the dating app.
“We’d got along so well over message and she was really pretty,” he said.
“We had an even better connection in person – we were the last ones left in the restaurant.”
His favourite date though was a dinner at Africola followed by drinks at Paloma with hours spent talking.
For Ms Aimes-Costa he favourite date was a more recent one.
The pair are currently in Paris celebrating their four-year anniversary.
They spent the occasion at Giraffe Restaurant.
“It feels really surreal to be in the city of love for our anniversary, at a restaurant I’ve always dreamt of going to,” Ms Aimes-Costa said.
When they eventually return from their European adventure, which has been a healing journey following the death of Ms Aimes-Costa’s mother six months ago, they’d love to continue to work on Call Me Daddy business and Ms Aimes-Costa may consider buying an “emotional support kitten”.
Cartia Condo and Josh Rachele
Model Cartia Condo and Adelaide Crows player Josh Rachele are definitely ‘It’ couple status.
In line to take over family winery Totino Wines alongside her family members, Ms Condo works with her family, learning the ropes.
Rachele was drafted to Adelaide with pick No. 6 at the 2021 AFL National Draft and has been a star player ever since.
Rachele and Ms Condo have been dating since 2023.
Rachele broke hearts when he posted a photo of himself alongside the stunning brunette before the couple attended the Crows’ best and fairest night in October 2023.
“Debut” he captioned the snap.
The pair are still going strong.
Cassandra Mamone and Charlie Chau
Jeweller to the stars Cassandra Mamone has recently tied the knot to her beau Charlie Chau.
What started off as a relationship in the friendzone, Mr Chau made his way out after telling the designer he loved her at the international departure gate at Adelaide Airport before Ms Mamone left for a seven-week Europe trip.
She spent the flight sketching her engagement ring.
The couple got engaged in September 2024 and married in Adelaide in May 2025 before an Italian celebration to come later this year.
Emma Georgiadis and Eddie Kleut
Radio presenter Emma Georgiadis and her partner banking specialist Edward Kleut are expecting their first child together.
After more than a year together, the couple will welcome the child later this year after announcing they were pregnant in March.
Kleut, who works for the Commonwealth Bank, popped the question to Georgiadis, who is a presenter on The Pulse with Seany B and Emma G from The Hit Network, in January this year.
Mr Kleut, who formerly owned the Hindley St club Super California, recently went with his fiancee to Palm Cove in Queensland on a much deserved ‘babymoon’ to celebrate their pregnancy.
Eli Moulton and Justin James
Founder of Plus One dress hire Eli Moulton and chef Justin James are definitely a couple about town.
With Ms Moulton expecting their first child together and Mr James set to open a new restaurant Aptos this winter, this couple will surely have a lot on their plates — literally and figuratively.
Ms Moulton, who is expecting a baby girl with Mr James, first posted a picture on Instagram with her beau in mid-2024.
The couple have travelled overseas together and often attend events across Adelaide and the Hills when they aren’t working on their own businesses.
