The Advertiser/7NEWS Adelaide: Drunk driver arrested, Greenock fire

For the second time in 24 hours, police dog Chaos has tracked down a suspect as a driver was arrested trying to run from police overnight.

Patrols stopped a man at a service station in Tranmere at 12.30am on Wednesday, with police alleging he provided false details before running off.

A closer inspection of the vehicle revealed it had two different number plates, with one of them stolen.

Patrols quickly set up cordons in the area and called in police dog Chaos, who found a man hiding in an underground car park a short time later.

Checks revealed the man was driving while suspended.

The man, 37, was charged with providing false details to police, driving unlicensed, driving with unassigned plates, unlawful possession and hindering police.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on March 6.

The vehicle was defected and impounded for 28 days.
