Glassons Marion temporarily closed due to flooding

A popular retail store in Westfield Marion has had to shut its doors for the day after a surprise flood.

Fashion chain Glassons has been forced to close its Westfield Marion store after a freak flood.

It is believed water gushed in overnight but has not impacted any other stores.

The cause of the flood or level of damage remains unknown.

Westfield Marion and Glassons have been contacted for comment.

Originally from New Zealand, Glassons opened its first South Australian shop in the Marion centre in 2021 and recently introduced a second, flagship store in Rundle Mall.

The women’s clothing retailer is known for its cult following and trendy clothing for affordable prices.

The brand has received widespread attention on social media, with select pieces going viral on Tik Tok and Instagram.
