One of Australia’s greatest rock music exports has finally been unveiled as the headline act at the Adelaide Supercars event later this year.

One of the state’s worst-kept secrets is now official: legendary rockers AC/DC will headline the bp Adelaide Grand Final in November.

After much speculation from diehard fans, the world’s greatest rock’n’roll band will take to the stage for the Sunday night concert following Lenny Kravitz’s show on Saturday.

Premier Peter Malinauskas said he is “thrilled” to welcome Acca Dacca back to South Australia for what will be the first time in 10 years.

“The world’s greatest rock and roll band headlining the greatest motorsport event in the country. It’s hard to imagine a better fit,” Mr Maulinauskas said.

“AC/DC have a long and rich connection to our city and we are thrilled to welcome the band to headline the bp Adelaide Grand Final as we usher in a new era of racing.”

“The event will provide a unique high-octane, high voltage, high energy experience not only for local fans, but those who choose to follow this international rock’n’roll juggernaut around the world.”
