Woman fighting for life after being hit by bus in St Ives in Sydney’s upper north shore

A woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after being struck by a bus on a busy intersection in St Ives on Tuesday night.

A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a bus at a busy intersection in Sydney’s upper north shore on Tuesday night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mona Vale Rd and Memorial Ave in St Ives shortly before 9.15pm following reports of a pedestrian struck by a bus.

The 40-year-old woman was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.

The bus driver was taken to the hospital for a mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and officers from Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the incident.
