The trials and tribulations that came with the construction of James Packer’s multimillion-
dollar yacht have been well documented.
Then came news at the end of last year that the casino mogul was selling the Italian-built vessel, listing it for $283 million following just a few Mediterranean sojourns.
Now, Sunday Confidential hears Packer has decided to keep the giga-yacht (over 300ft) having received just “one paltry low-ball offer” since he put it on the market.
The billionaire businessman bought the yacht in 2019.
It boasts a cinema, nightclub, swimming pool and barber’s salon, and was originally purchased for around $200 million.
Named IJE — believed to be after his three children Indigo, Jackson and Emmanuelle — it has been listed on the site of international superyacht broker Burgess Yachts.
The listing states that it was “built as the ultimate world-cruising family yacht for a very experienced owner” and can fit 22 guests in 11 cabins, which includes a private owner’s deck.
Packer’s purchase of IJE came after he gave his 288-foot Arctic P yacht to his sister Gretel in 2017.
Before that he owned the 170-foot Amels Seahorse, offloading that one in 2015.
