Billionaire James Packer has listed his super yacht for sale for nearly three times the cost of Australia’s most expensive house. It comes with its own nightclub.

Billionaire James Packer has listed his Italian-built super yacht IJE for sale for $283m, nearly three times the cost of Australia’s most expensive house.

Being a floating palace, naturally there are extensive water views — just like the Point Piper mansion snapped up by tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes for $100m in 2018.

But IJE has something Cannon-Brookes’s mansion doesn’t have — it’s very own nightclub.

The casino mogul, 54, bought the yacht, named after his three children, Indigo, Jackson and Emmanuelle, in 2019 for about $200m.

The listing – on the Burgess yacht advertising site — comes just three months after Packer was spotted chatting with three glamorous European models on board the yacht off the Greek party island Mykonos.

It was the first time he’d been seen in public in eight months — since he gave video evidence to the NSW independent Liquor and Gaming inquiry into money laundering in his casinos. And he hasn’t been seen since.

The inquiry found Crown Resorts was not fit to operate casinos in NSW and recommended it would need to make some drastic changes before its casino at Barangaroo could open.

Packer, who owns 37 per cent of Crown, later agreed to play no role in how Crown is run for the next three-and-a-half years after the inquiry found his influence was a reason it was unfit to open the new casino.

IJE has accommodation for 22 guests in 11 cabins. The 108m “giga-yacht” comes with a mind-boggling array of features, including a swimming pool, gym and cinema and even your very own barber’s salon.

It also features an array of toys and watercraft, including two magnificent 12 metre tenders.

The yacht is for sale for more than $280m.

IJE is by far the best super yacht Packer has owned, by sought-after designers Redman Whiteley Dixon.

The interiors, by Benetti, are described as being in a “relaxed beach house” style.

The longest-ever yacht delivered by Benetti is the flagship of their enviable custom-built fleet.

There is an on-board gym.

The main saloon has full-height sliding glass walls that open on three sides. The private owner’s deck has access to walkaround side decks.

And the main deck has the pool and open-air dining, with lounge and bar.

There’s even a lift that glides between each level.

Packer is described as “a very experienced owner”.

Back in June when Packer was last spotted off Mykonos on the superyacht, he was dressed in a black T-shirt and was chatting to the bikini-clad women.

One can only imagine the parties.

They posed for selfies and worked out on the deck.

His girlfriend of three years, Kylie Lim, was nowhere to be seen.

In July, as Sydney headed into lockdown, Crown said it expected report losses for the financial year.

Both the lockdowns and the widening casino probe had have a big impact on its bottom line.

His purchase of EJI followed him giving his previous boat, the 288-foot Artic P, to his sister, Gretel, in 2017.

He has also owned the 170-foot Amels Seahorse, sold in 2015, and a range of others.
