Calvin Klein opens store at Parramatta Westfield

A major luxury fashion house has chosen to debut its “lifestyle’’ store in Sydney’s west, where it joins a string of other high-end retailers in time for Christmas trading.

Calvin Klein has graced mega mall Parramatta Westfield ahead of extended trading hours for Christmas.

The luxury fashion house’s 155sq m “lifestyle” store is the first of its kind to open in NSW and stocks its signature jeans and underwear, alongside men’s and women’s clothing, children’s apparel, accessories and footwear.

The level four store is decked out in the brand’s “minimal and modern aesthetic with a palette of materials in metal, concrete and wood”.

It joins luxury neighbours Chanel and Camilla boutique, which opened last November, on level four.

While it’s not in the high-end category, thrifty shoppers are also anticipating December 12 at 10am, when homewares brand Standard Products by Daiso makes its Australian debut on level three.

The 300sq m space will open within the Daiso store and stocks “well-designed home products that strike a balance between functionality (and) affordability’’.

The first outlet opened in Tokyo in 2021 and, while there are now more than 150 in Japan, Singapore and Taiwan, the Parramatta offering will be the first outside Asia.

Daiso Japan president Hirotake Yano said the business was based on the concept “a little bit better is always really nice”, and the range featured home goods, tableware, kitchen, bath, organisation, cleaning supplies, stationery, Japan-made wares, travel essentials, garden and camping goods.

“We’re increasing customer satisfaction and maintaining our position at the forefront of the market by selling well-made products at affordable prices,” Mr Yano said.

Following the frenetic Black Friday sales, longer hours are planned in the lead-up to Christmas, beginning on the weekend of December 14 and 15, when shops open from 9am to 7pm.

It will open between 9.30am to 7pm from December 16 to 18, 9am to midnight on December 19, 9am to 10pm on December 20, 8am to 9pm on December 21, 9am to 9pm on December 22, 9.30am to 9pm on December 23, and 8am to 6pm on Christmas Eve.
