THE cat’s out of the bag when it comes to the purrfect way to get around town.
Even if it is a little claw-strophobic.
Cream the two-year-old Ragdoll is among the pampered pets to experience the latest fad to sweep Australia.
The U-Pet catpack is a ventilated bag designed to give its occupants a clear view of the world around them.
Owner Qi Zhang, 20, was snapped taking his rad cat to the vet for her vaccinations.
He said he is often stopped by people once they notice his pet peeping out from the plastic pod.
“People often ask me if she can breath in there ... but it’s OK,’’ the finance student said.
Mr Zhang said he ordered the catpack after he spotted somebody else carrying their cat in comfort.
“It could also fit a dog but only a small one,’’ he said.
The 20-year-old said he enjoyed taking his cat for walks because he lived in a multistorey apartment.
The catpack comes in handy for anybody negotiating Melbourne’s public transport system with all small animals allowed on trains and trains provided they are in a bag.
