A MAN has been found dead in a Frankston street with the circumstances surrounding his death remaining a mystery.

POLICE are investigating the death of a man in a Frankston street last night.

Emergency services were called to Olive Grove in Frankston around 11.15pm, where the man was found dead.

The man is yet to be formally identified and it is unknown how old he is.

A man in his 40s is assisting police with their inquiries.

“The circumstances around the man’s death are yet to be established,” police spokeswoman Natalie Butler said.

“Police will await the results of a post-mortem.”

Olive Grove is near the Chisholm Institute, Frankston skatepark and within walking distance of Frankston train station.
