The former rugby league player had his apprehended violence order to protect Ritchie extended at Waverley Local Court on Thursday.

Court documents stated the 39-year-old had a history of drunk driving and the latest offence was his fifth since 1999.

The documents revealed Webb was driving on Avoca St, Randwick at 4.11pm on March 26 when police noticed him drive across the stop line at a red light.

Police stopped him and he gave them his driver’s licence number.

“(Webb) smelt moderately of intoxicating liquor, his eyes were glazed and bloodshot,” the court documents state.

“He did not know what time he started drinking, but finished about 4pm ... and was driving home to his address in Randwick.”

He told police he was unaware his driver’s licence was expired.

The sentence comes at a difficult time for Ritchie who has recently lost her dog Mac.

“Thank you Mac for the joy you delivered, the love we all exchanged and for those kind, knowing eyes.

“For having the softest ears and for being the best lawn pillow anyone could ask for.”
