Gossip Queen: Jesinta and Buddy Franklin track memories of a beautiful day

THE Caulfield Cup brought back wedding memories for the very fashionable duo of Jesinta Franklin and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

THE Caulfield Cup brought back wedding memories for the very fashionable duo of Jesinta Franklin and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

“This race day last year I flew from here, picked my husband up in Sydney and we flew to New York where I had my final fitting with (designer) Vera (Wang), and then picked up my wedding dress,” Jesinta said at the Caulfield Lounge on Saturday.

“I was cool, calm and collected on the outside (at the Cup) but underneath I was organising this entire wedding that no one knew about.”

While she and Buddy enjoy a day at the track, neither own racehorses.

“We invest in property, things that don’t move,” Jesinta said.

FILMING commitments and a Christmas holiday will see actor Rachael Taylor in Australia until the end of the year.

She will start work on Bruce Beresford’s film Ladies In Black in Sydney this week. Julia Ormond is among the cast.

“I should be in Sydney until kind of December-ish, I think, and it is lovely to be home working,” Taylor said.

“After that I am going to take a vacation. I am looking forward to getting down to Tassie and spending time with Mum and Dad and enjoying Christmas. I will be just hanging out in Australia for a bit.”
