Baby Croc Makes Daring Escape From Farm

Move over Baby Shark, Baby Croc is snapping at your fins.

The future monster-croc was unafraid to interrupt a Top End family’s journey home from the Berry Springs Tavern when it made its way across the inbound lanes of the Stuart Hwy Friday night.

NT blogger Holly Roworth said her partner narrowly avoided the reptilian pedestrian on their drive home.

The Five Acre Family writer said her partner got out of the car to take a photo of the young croc’s journey.

“The kids were in the back screaming, ‘don’t do it, Daddy’,” she said.

Thankfully, Mr Roworth came away from the deadly encounter unscathed.

Mrs Roworth said the baby croc was spotted between Gulnare Rd and the Elizabeth River bridge.

“Suspiciously close to the croc farm,” she said.

Given how quickly the alleged escapee fled the scene, it would seem not all scaly Territorians are keen on the spotlight.
