THE Top End’s humblest celebrity Brutus has been captured in a blue with a girl, showing even crocs have trouble in love.
A video from the Adelaide River Cruises - Jumping Crocodile Experience shows Brutus nibbling on the tail of a female croc, no doubt a love bite.
The croc, the classy lady she is, makes her annoyance known. She turns to Brutus and asks in reptile-speak to drop her tail.
She then turns to pinch Brutus on the head before the beast retaliates and does a death roll.
The female croc makes her escape, slithering off into the mangroves while Brutus bathes in mud with a growl.
The tour guide is heard saying: “The only reason she didn’t lose her tail is because he’s got no teeth.”
The video has captured the awe and admiration of Territorians and southerners.
“Now, now brutus settle down or I’ll have to sort you out,” said Brett Angel.
“Big fella just wants a bit of action,” said Steven Devine.
Brutus garnered world fame in 2011 on the NT News’ “Yes, it’s real” front page, showing the beast jumping out of the Adelaide River in front of stunned tourists.
