You don’t need to be in a fancy marquee to enjoy great food and drink at the Melbourne Cup. Here’s how to make the most of the spring racing carnival on a general admission ticket.

Lobster rolls and champagne aren’t exclusive to fancy marquees at Flemington during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

With a general admission ticket punters can enjoy all the food and drink offerings at The Park at Flemington Racecourse, starting this Saturday at AAMI Victoria Derby Day.

The Park is located near the entry closest to the Flemington Racecourse train station and Leonard Cres carpark, opposite The Hill Stand.

The Melbourne CBD pizzeria comes to Flemington for the Melbourne Cup Carnival with five of its famed 24-inch New York style pizzas.

Try the Mary Jane (margherita), Five-0 (Hawaiian), Smokin’ Chick (BBQ), The Flying V (Vego) and Doctor Pepper (Pepperoni).

Seddon’s Slider Diner is flipping cheeseburger sliders and popcorn chicken for punters at The Park during the Melbourne Cup Carnival. The perfect lunch or late afternoon snack.
