The new stores coming to The Glen

The final stage of The Glen’s revamp is ready to open. From Cotton On Mega to David Jones, Betty’s Burgers to a beer hall — here are the stores opening in Glen Waverley’s new-look shopping centre.

The final major phase of The Glen’s $430 million redevelopment opens tomorrow with a new two-level David Jones store anchoring the slick new section.

The latest format David Jones store will feature a curated collection of brands not previously available at the centre as well as a cafe, personal shopping suite and beauty rooms.

The final transformation of the popular south eastern suburbs centre will also see 50 new fashion and lifestyle stores open including Decjuba, Seed Heritage, Kikki K, Cotton On Mega, Blue Illusion and Honey Birdette, which are all new additions to the centre.

A new indoor-outdoor dining precinct will feature Macelleria, Betty’s Burgers, Tina’s Noodles and Vietnamese beer hall Bia Hoi.

Cult Korean beauty brand Innisfree is opening, with the global juggernaut set to win fans with $2 sheet masks and their number one best-selling product, Green Tea Seed Serum, with 13 bottles sold every minute worldwide.

French beauty masterminds, L’Occitane will also open a flagship boutique joining Australian retail powerhouse MECCA, Endota Spa and The Body Shop.

Centre Manager, Richard Devlin said: “It’s an exciting new chapter for The Glen and we can’t wait to open the doors to new brands, new boutiques and new experiences on 1 August.”

During the festivities customers can sip and shop, enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, hear the latest DJ beats and snap up one of 500 complimentary showbags valued at $100 each among other opening day offers and exclusive experiences.

David Jones retail director Aaron Faraguna says the retailer has a long history at the centre and while the new store is smaller, it offers a wider range of products in a more customer friendly format.

“The new store spans two floors with central escalators. At 8000sqm, it is smaller than our 14,000sqm original store, making better use of the space and curating the offer for our local Glen Waverley customer.”
