The Melbourne Cup Carnival is all set to go for another successful spring racing extravaganza this year, and Penfolds Derby Day will take the lead.

Across the four days, the carnival attracts more than 260,000 racegoers who fill the green fields of the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) in Flemington.

On Saturday, both punters and fashionistas will dress in their finest attire of grey, black and white to represent what Derby Day is all about.

These creative attendees will piece their outfits together, defining their own individuality and sense of style.

The carnival will continue to flow into more racing action, with the famous Melbourne Cup Day — the race that stops the nation — taking place on Tuesday, followed by Crown Oaks Day on Thursday and then concluding with Champion Stakes Day on Saturday, November 9.

While there is an overwhelming choice of race days to attend — each and every one of them is expected to stun the country.

The team at the Herald Sun will join in on all the excitement and will attend each event to capture all the pictures of racegoers looking majestic.
