Mix 102.3 radio host Ali Clarke has confessed on air, saying she “stuffed up so badly” when she missed an email with dates for her son.

Ms Clarke got teary on air on Friday morning while relating how she’d failed to notice the important email, which contained dates for her son’s basketball trials.

“Already I’m getting teary thinking about it,” she told listeners.

The host said she “feels so sick” that she hasn’t “even given him a chance” to try out.

Ms Clarke continued by saying the family had worked for a while to build Sam’s confidence up for the trials.

“He’s my sensitive little sausage,” she said.

Co-host Shane Lowe responded to the confession saying she’ll “never get anything for Mother’s Day again”.

“I think I’ve got to cop it in on the chin,” Ms Clarke said.

Former host Erin Phillips comforted the mother-of-three by sharing her previous parenting fails and saying that all parents “let their kids down”.

“I forgot book week so the kids rocked up wearing normal clothes,” she said.

Ms Phillips also confessed to giving her three children at home hair cuts that made them look like “they’d walked out of Alcatraz”.

Ms Clarke invited listeners to come on air to share how they had “royally let their kids down” and also asked for advice to fix her mistake.

Jennifer, from Elizabeth Vale, said her daughter was about three when she took her to see Humphrey Bear at an expo.

“The guy that was Humphrey Bear had a bee fly into the mouth of the suit and all the guy did was pull the head off and kick it off stage,” she said.

“He was the only one who didn’t scream.

“I think my daughter had nightmares for like six years after that and she wouldn’t go near any animals.”
