One of the largest and loudest is the V8 Tropical Thunder monster truck, which will be unleashed this weekend at the Royal Melbourne Show.

“I started with a Meccano set and built a little car with a steam engine,” the 60-year-old said.
“As I got older it was billy carts and go karts, and then cars and hot rods. Now I’m onto anything monster; monster trucks, monster pushbikes. You name it, it’s here.”
Mr Xuereb has opened his Hazelwood North workshop and freed many of his creations for two performances a day at the show.
“It’s big and loud and huge. Kids love big toys.” Mr Xuereb said.
“We’ll have a crazy act as well. We wheelie it the whole length of the arena, every day.”
