Royal Melbourne Show: Who will be the first to test the showbags?

BAGS of fun await one lucky Victorian primary school class who will be the first to test the showbags at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Kids would rather eat Brussels sprouts than do homework!

BAGS of fun will await the pupils of one lucky Victorian primary school class, who will be the first to test the showbags for this year’s Royal Melbourne Show.

Children who can best put into words what they love most about the Show will be given the chance to rifle through the goodies before anyone else.

More than 350 showbags, from Jurassic World to Bertie Beetle, are available this year.

“We can’t wait to reveal the showbags for this year’s Royal Melbourne Show and share this fun morning with the winning primary school class,” Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria CEO Paul Guerra said.

Entries of no more than 100 words, from teachers, students and parents, can be submitted by email until 3pm on Monday, August 27.

The lucky winners will be invited to attend the launch at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Monday, September 3.

The Show will open on September 22 and run until October 2.
