Kerri-Anne puts on brave face as she joins the fash-pack to welcome in a new collection from leading designer Carla Zampatti

KERRI-Anne steps out in a red dress as she joins the fashion pack, and Delta Goodrem, to welcome in Carla Zampatti’s new collection.

As usual, she upped the usual fashion industry, all-black dress code and, you guessed it, wore red. But that IS the unstoppable Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

The last few months have certainly been the hardest in her life as her husband remains in hospital after a freak fall that left him with severe spinal cord injuries.

And good on the irrepressible KAK for having some respite from the constant, bedside vigil she is keeping beside her husband of 30 years.

KAK attended the spring-summer fashion show of her great mate and neighbour, Carla Zampatti, showcasing what the designer will have in store NEXT season.

Kerri-Anne has always been a permanent fixture at a Carla Zampatti show, the designer now celebrating 51 years in the Australian fashion industry.

“It’s one step at a time,’’ Kerri-Anne quietly told news.com.au of her husband’s condition.

John fractured his C3 and C4 vertebrae at the base of his neck and his road to recovery is going to be a long one.

KAK seemed happy to be out and about on the scene she loves and knows so well and was joined by fellow TV faces including Sam Armytage, Natarsha Belling, Magdalena Roze and Sylvia Jeffreys and possibly one of the most unsuspecting fashion front-rower’s ever, 2GB Alan Jones.

The only front row Mr Jones would be used to would be of the footy kind.

“Wasn’t it fabulous!,” Jones told news.com.au after the show.

This season, Carla enlisted the help of Romance was Born duo Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett as the show’s creatives along with Peter Simon Phillips to style her delicate cream and metallic pieces while enduring jewellery name Dinosaur Designs made sure the collection was given a relevant and contemporary edge.

Other guests included They All Hate Us blogger duo Tash Sefton and Elle Ferguson, Anna Heinrich, Kate and Hoda Waterhouse, Marie-Claude Mallet, Louise Olsen, Sara Donaldson, Terry Biviano, Emma Lung and Sophie Falkiner, Sheree Commerford and global fashion sensation, Margaret Zhang.
