AFL star Bailey Smith proudly rocks one, as do scores of other Victorians - from school kids to pensioners.
It’s the mullet, and it’s as Aussie as saying g’day and scoffing a pie and sauce at the footy.
Just why the mullet is the hair style du jour is as much a mystery as the comeback of handlebar moustaches and the popularity of cartoon tatts and big butts.
But it’s here and set to stay for a while, so in celebration of the mighty mullet, the Herald Sun has searched for Victoria’s best.
We’ll select our top manes as finalists from the hundreds of entries, and then turn it over to our readers - the mullet-appreciators of Victoria - to select the best head of hair.
The mullet with the most votes will see its owner bestowed with the massive honour of ‘best mullet in Victoria’.
And who knows where that may lead? Bailey Smith has just signed a deal with retail giant Cotton On on the back of his lucious locks.
Entries have now closed. Check back soon to vote for Victoria’s best mullet.
