Move over David Beckham and Dustin Martin, Western Bulldogs young gun Bailey Smith is the latest sporting star to make their mark on fashion.
As the first menswear ambassador for Australian brand Cotton On, Smith has beaten the heat this summer, stripping off to showcase swimwear and underwear in his first two campaign shoots for the casualwear giant.
In announcing the deal, the AFL star Smith also provided an insight into some of his off-field interests.
He described his trademark blonde mullet as “ridiculous.”
“It is a bit, I don’t know, all over the shop at the minute,” he said in a Cotton On video.
“I am just growing it out. I’ve been growing it for like three years. I know it is a bit ridiculous but it is getting there.”
Not surprisingly he sees himself as playing a superhero with a flowing blonde mane should he be offered acting opportunities.
“I am a massive fan of Chris Hemsworth so Thor, maybe,” he said when asked what character he would play on screen.
And surprisingly he is an ABBA fan, naming Dancing Queen as his favourite song.
“I am very excited to be partnering with Cotton On, an iconic Aussie brand which I have grown up loving and wearing. I am proud to be the first brand ambassador of Cotton On menswear and am looking forward to working with the team.” Smith said.
Cotton On menswear General Manager, Dom Ralton said Smith’s laid-back, low-key confident style made him the perfect fit for Cotton On.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bailey to the Cotton On family as our first brand ambassador for menswear. We are so excited to see the partnership come to life,” he said.
