Best place for a coffee and breakfast

Superrandom

Superrandom is the ideal spot for a morning coffee and breakfast, especially after a long walk along the beach. The atmosphere is always lively, and even though the menu is small, everything is made fresh and delicious. My go-to order is the ham, cheese, pickle, and mustard toast. The place is always bustling with people, adding to the vibrant ambience.

Best counter meal and beer

Hotel Brighton

The neighbourhood pub is the perfect spot for a casual counter meal and a cold beer on a hot day. I love coming in on Tuesdays for steak night. The selection is always cooked to perfection and provides the ideal excuse for a midweek catch up with mates.

Where I take the family

Little Sky Gelato

This is my family’s ultimate celebration destination. Whether it’s the first day of school, a sunny day, or a milestone like our child’s first spelled word, we always walk over to Little Sky. Everything is crafted in-house with no artificial colours or flavours. And don’t forget to ask about their specials, which change with the seasons.

Where I stock the pantry, fridge and freezer

Devolas of Brighton

When I can’t make it to the farmers market, I go to Devolas. It always has the freshest seasonal produce, such as heirloom tomatoes, when in season. I love their selection of pastas and artisan goodies, which are perfect for making gift hampers for friends. The fresh flowers are some of the best in the neighbourhood. The exceptional service keeps me coming back time and again.

When I want to be a little fancy

Mr & Mrs P

It’s not overly fancy, but just fancy enough for a date night or a girls’ get-together. This is the ideal spot for sharing delicious meals and enjoying amazing cocktails. My go-to order is prawn dumplings and vegetable dumplings covered in a rich, silky sauce. On Friday nights live acoustic music sets the perfect mood.
