The Long Sleeve Collared Tier Dress from Kmart comes in a red jam gingham colour in sizes six to 20.

It features long sleeves which comes with elasticated wrists, a collar and a tiered skirt attached to the upper body.

One social media user, who uses the name @marziepan24 online, described it as the “perfect autumn dress”.

“It’s $25, it’s all cotton. Are you ready,” she asked, before unveiling the dress.

She said she loved the dress for many reasons such as the sleeves and the material of the dress.

“I just think it’s so adorable,” she said.

The TikTok user said she recommended sizing up if people wanted an over-size look, as she had done.

“I am so stoked – $25 for a dress that looks like it is way more,” she added.

Another social media user put a clip of her modelling the dress online to the sound of Cher’s viral moment where she asked fans for “a little commotion for the dress”.

Many social media users agreed with the excitement over the dress.

“I adore it! Wonder how it washes up? It already looks on the short side … My dryer will probably turn it into a tunic. Still need it,” one social media user said. ️

Another said: “The checkered pattern on the dress itself reminds me of school uniforms although I realise its an in thing at the moment.”

One simply said they loved the dress.

A Kmart spokesperson told news.com.au the style landed in February and has been incredibly popular.

“It is a perfect style to take you into tran-seasonal dressing for the cooler weather. We love the seersucker fabric and colour which will be a key colour for the season. It Also comes in a denim version,” the spokesperson said.

The dress bares a striking similarity to the “Short Sleeve Square Neck Midi Dress” from the 2022 collection that came in two colours, a green gingham and a floral print, and it was so popular with customers that many are reported they’ve “struggled” to find it in store.

One Sydney shopper, a teacher who shares her classroom outfits on Instagram, described the gingham number as “the perfect dress”.

While another said she “loved it” because it was flattering and versatile, telling followers to “run to Kmart” to buy it.
