Fashion Critical: Golden Globes red carpet critique take two
There was so much to say about the style choices at this year’s Golden Globes that we couldn’t expect Fashion Critical to serve up just one take. So here’s the celebs who escaped the first time around.

PART 2: If you thought Cate Blanchett’s frilly bits or Dakota Fanning’s princess dress had somehow failed to catch the attention of Fashion Critical, fear not.
Here’s a second batch of Golden Globes red carpet fabs and the fails.
SIENNA MILLER
Sienna Miller hasn’t aged a day.
But what even is this? It’s part sun dress part bed spread.
It’s a resounding aw HECK no from me.
DAKOTA FANNING
Bibbity Bobbity Boo!
It’s a fairy godmother, it’s Glinda the Good Witch, no, it’s Dakota Fanning.
This is sweet but perhaps a bit Disney for me.
KAITLYN DEVER
New tablecloth, who dis?
Haberdashery, Aisle 5.
OLIVIA COLMAN
The location of the underbust seam here concerns me. Doesn’t it seem a trifle high? Otherwise, I think this looks lovely on her.
MOLLY SIMS
Cinderella barbie!
I feel like I should hate this, but I think its lovely.
I would swish around in this for dayz.
JODIE COMER
For a minute I thought this was our very own Anna Heinrich.
The resemblance is uncanny.
Keep an eye out for Mumus this summer – they could be making a comeback.
On the plus side, she’s totally ready to take on the buffet at the after parties!
And I am living for it.
CATE BLANCHETT
I saw a photo of her wearing this on a balcony with the frilly sleevy bits blowing in the wind behind her and it was very Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Here it looks a bit lifeless and strange.
I do like the buttery yellow on her, but the rest of it is a no for me.
Nonetheless, our Cate is a goddess and can pretty much wear whatever she wants.
AWKWAFINA
I don’t know who this curious poppet is, but I find her to look very sweet indeed.
It’s a tuxedo meets a frock. And I don’t mind it.
I love that her bag doubles as jewellery. CUTE.
Her collar does make me itchy though. *scritch scrotch*
SHAILENE WOODLEY
This is the kind of gown I very much enjoy on a Golden Globes red carpet.
Its glitzy, glamorous, it’s evening wear as it lives and breathes.
This is gorgeous.

This is not a dress for Taylor Swift – the youthful angel that she is.
