Owner Andy Gulati said people travelled from as far as Epping, Craigieburn and Narre Warren to get their hands on a spicy slice.
Winning recipes include the Paneer Tikka (with napoli, cottage cheese, onion, capsicum and mint chutney), the Angry Kukkad (fried chicken dipped in homemade hot sauce, jalapeños and cheese, topped with hot mayo sauce), and the Butter Chicken (four-day slow cooked sauce, chicken tikka, onion, cashew nuts, chilli flakes and kasoori methi).
Gulati said he and wife Ratika had created the largest menu of Indian-inspired pizzas in the world.
“I’ve done some pretty extensive research on this and there are people in India and America doing these sorts of pizzas but we definitely have the most,” he said.
Gulati said he planned to expand the family-run business, with Epping and Dandenong tipped to be home to a Pizzatude in the future.
The pizzas are all halal-friendly and gluten-free and vegan options are available.
Those wanting to try other world cuisines can get their hands on a kebab or nachos pizzas, and there are plenty of traditional pizza options for the less adventurous, as well as pasta, parmas and fish and chips.
Pizzatude is at 4 Sharp St, Hoppers Crossing.
