A man who claimed to have been married to a beloved Melbourne newsreader and allegedly made a false complaint about being struck by entertainer Rhonda Burchmore has again faced court.
Kodei Mulcahy, 23, is facing charges of unlawful assault, speeding and stalking in the Werribee Magistrates’ Court where he appeared on Friday.
These charges are separate to matters being heard at the Melbourne Magistrates Court in which he faces charges of perjury and making a false report after it’s alleged he lied to police when claiming he was struck by Rhonda Burchmore at the opening of Dolly Parton’s 9 To 5 musical on July 14 last year.
According to other media, earlier this year Mulcahy claimed he had been married to Channel 9 newsreader Peter Hitchener.
Court documents revealed Mulcahy was accused of stalking someone in Fitzroy back in February 2021 and also allegedly assaulted someone in November 2020.
Mulcahy was also allegedly caught doing 96km/h in a 60km/h zone on Bulban Rd in Werribee.
He is due back in court on September 6.
