Police: Learner driver crashes into car, house at Werribee property

A 17-year-old learner driver from Tarneit has smashed into a car, through a fence and into the front of a house in Werribee.

Police are investigating after a 17-year-old learner driver from Tarneit smashed into a car, through a fence and into the front of a house in Werribee in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The Mazda sedan was travelling along Tarneit Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

A 38-year-old woman who was inside the house at the time of the incident was taken to hospital.

The 18-year-old passenger and the two people in the other vehicle were not injured.

The male driver of the car will be interviewed by police at a later date.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision and crash are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
