Man stabbed during basketball brawl at Altona North
A man has been stabbed and another is in hospital after a group of men attacked organisers of a basketball match in Melbourne’s west.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed and another injured during a brawl at the Westgate Indoor Sports complex at Altona North.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the incident occurred at the Dohertys Rd stadium just after 8.30pm on Sunday, November 28.
“Police have been told a group of men attended the venue and a fight broke out between the men and match organisers,” she said.
“Investigators believe a number of people were at the venue at the time of the incident and are keen to speak to any witnesses.”
The victim, a 22-year-old Werribee man, was rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital with stab wounds to his upper body and another 22-year-old, also from Werribee, was treated at the scene.
The spokeswoman said he remained in a stable condition at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are yet to lay charges.
