“Investigators believe a number of people were at the venue at the time of the incident and are keen to speak to any witnesses.”

The victim, a 22-year-old Werribee man, was rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital with stab wounds to his upper body and another 22-year-old, also from Werribee, was treated at the scene.

The spokeswoman said he remained in a stable condition at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
