Holden driver rammed police vehicle after officers called to suspicious car with fake plates on Shears Dr, Fraser Rise
Police are on the hunt for a driver who rammed their vehicle multiple times and injured an officer near Melton overnight.

A police car was rammed multiple times and an officer injured in Melbourne’s northwest overnight as the driver remains at large.
Officers were called after residents observed a vehicle suspiciously loitering near Shears Dr, Fraser Rise about 2.20am.
When police arrived, a red Holden Commodore, with false number plates, was parked in a driveway.
Police positioned their vehicle across the end of the driveway before the Holden started its engine and accelerated directly into the passenger door.
The driver reversed back up the driveway and then drove forward, ramming the police vehicle a second time.
Police managed to manoeuvre their vehicle away from the driveway before the Holden took fled at a high speed south towards Erin Dr.
One officer received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
