A body has been found by the a popular road in Melton, leaving witnesses “shaking”.

Women were seen shaking on the roadside after the grim discovery of a deceased man in Melton early Monday.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a man in Melton West.

The man was located deceased near the intersection of West Melton Dr and Bulmans Road about 7am Monday.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

One woman said she drove past the intersection near the childcare centre and saw two women “shaking” on the phone with the body of a man on the ground nearby.
