Mr Livori remained on good terms with his former wife, Melanie Dunn, who wrote: “We were so in love. We had a beautiful baby girl who just worships the ground you walk on.”

“You are now at peace.”

The van driver, a 70-year-old Avondale Heights woman, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives were at the scene into the early hours of Friday morning and urged anyone who saw the crash or who had dashcam footage to come forward.

The crash which claimed Mr Livori’s life was one of two serious motorbike accidents on Thursday evening alone.

Witnesses reportedly rushed to help Mr Weegink but he died at the scene.
