Warrion woman dead after fatal single-vehicle crash on Baynes Rd, Alvie near Colac

A woman in her 60s tragically died after her car crashed into a tree in regional Victoria.

A woman from a small village in regional Victoria has been identified as the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash near Colac last week.
The 67-year-old woman from Warrion, north of Lake Colac, died at the scene after her car hit a tree at Alvie on Thursday.

Police attended the scene of the fatal crash on Baynes Rd about 5am and she was formally identified later that day.

The woman was the driver and only person in the vehicle.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations continue.
