26-year-old man caught speeding at 130km/h in a 100km/h zone

A Warrnambool man has lost his licence after he was caught speeding at 130km/h down a country road.

A Warrnambool man has been caught speeding at 130km/h in a 100km/h zone along the Princes Highway.

The 26-year-old lost his licence for three months after he was caught by Camperdown police on Thursday afternoon.

He also received a speeding fine, and a police spokesperson said speeding at 25km/h or more but less than 30km/h is usually an infringement notice of over $500.

Police have urged everyone to drive safely, especially during the Christmas holiday season.
