Police arrest one and hand out three penalty notices in Terang traffic operation
Two drivers have been arrested and three others fined after police ran a traffic operation on a remote Terang highway.

Police have arrested one person and summoned another to court after they allegedly tested positive to an illicit substance in Victoria’s southwest on Wednesday afternoon.
Warrnambool Highway Patrol and members from Terang, Camperdown and the Nation Heavy Vehicle Regulator conducted checks on trucks travelling through Terang.
About 90 trucks and 20 cars were stopped for authorities to check roadworthiness of the vehicles, work diaries and perform drug and alcohol testing on drivers.
One driver allegedly tested positive to a drug test and will be taken to court for the matter while another had a warrant our for his arrest after they failed to appear at a court hearing.
Two major defects and three penalty notices were also issued to drivers.
A police spokesperson said it was an “overall pleasing result”.
Police have urged everyone to continue to drive safely and follow the rules especially in the lead up to the Christmas holiday season.
