Monash Tigers will be hoping their impressive one-day form can translate to red ball success as they push for a fifth consecutive Premier Cricket finals appearance.
Monash improved its record to 5-1-6 with a four-wicket win over Frankston Peninsula at Central Reserve on Saturday.

The Tigers are winless from four two-day games this season and face crunch fixtures against ladder leaders Carlton and fifth-placed St Kilda in the next two games.
Monash captain Daniel Sartori said the fixtures would dictate if the Tigers qualify for finals.
The Tigers are among the logjam of teams fighting for spots inside the top eight, sitting four points outside the finals positions with four two-day games remaining.
“You look at our position on the ladder, we can’t really afford to drop any games with the ladder being so close,” Sartori said.
“It’s pretty much do or die from here on in for the rest of the year.”
Half-centuries from Rob Salerni (65) and Tom Wood (55) took Frankston Peninsula to 8-205 from its 50 overs before the Tigers reached the modest total with more than eight overs to spare.
Teenager Jake Fraser-McGurk struck 61 off 54 deliveries and opener Sartori added 48 before Marcus Berryman (22 not out) and Fred Klaassen (15 not out) steered the Tigers home.
Sartori said the answer was simple when asked how to transfer the side’s limited overs form into the longer format.
“I think it’s just about being able to do the basics for longer,” he said.
“The last couple of games we’ve played, we haven’t done anything outstanding or anything brilliant.
“A couple of individuals have had some good performances but it’s a pretty basic, clichéd line but it’s doing the little things for longer.
“Batters being able to bat longer time, be more patient and same with the bowlers to not get too greedy too early and being able to work into your spell and just consistently building pressure.”
