He’s the King of McKinnon and he’s rarely out of the game.

McKinnon captain Wade King continued his superb season with a stunning return of 140 and 4-44 in his side’s win over South Caulfield in Round 11.

King’s century — which included 12 fours and 2 sixes — set up McKinnon’s 8-272 on day one of the Cricket Southern Bayside Division 1 match.

And on day two on Saturday, the right-armer completed the job with a lively bowling spell to help restrict South to 9-188, despite a gallant knock of 81 by opener Joshuah O’Donnell.

Nigel van der Wert (2-28) and Ulricht van Duyker (2-55) were also in the wickets for McKinnon, which is cemented in second spot.

King leads the division on both the runs and wickets charts, with 440 runs, at 55, and 24 wickets, at 8.75.

*Carnegie No. 3 Tarun Rabari blitzed 100 not out off 117 balls, with 12 fours and 1 six, to set up his side’s win over Dingley. Neggie captain Ashish Harsolia was also in the runs, peeling off 82. Saumil Patel snared 3-37 with the ball.

*Dan Newton (40) and Rahul Shanmugam (39) guided Parkdale United to victory over local rivals Parkdale, despite Iden McCleave’s 4-63.

*Brighton District upset ladder-leading Murrumbeena, with Oliver Winder (44no) and Tom Williamson (43no) escorting the Dragons to 7-175, in reply to 174. Williamson’s knock came off 39 balls and included five huge sixes. Rick Jones (29) and James Logan (29) also contributed.

In Championship Division, Mentone skipper Dane Heverin (61no) combined with Matthew Walker (72 off 69 balls, with 12 fours) to guide the Tigers (6-189) to victory over Hampton (188). Opener Simon Cormie laid the foundations with 32, while Thomas Marron bowled his heart out for Hampton, taking 5-33 off 12 overs. Mentone’s bowlers Akshat Buch (5-53) and Edward McGarry (4-40) set up the win on day one.

*Mordialloc’s Brendan Morris grabbed 3-18 to help restrict St Brigid’s St Louis to 8-142 as the Bloodhounds stoutly defended their 171. Saints skipper Jeremy Heys blasted 51 off 60 balls, but Morris, Insaf Iqbal (2-15) and Jakob Woinarski (1-23) led the bowling attack with aplomb.

*A 91-run opening partnership between Bradley Erasmus (58no) and Tom Morris (41) underpinned South Caulfield’s win over Beaumaris. Lewis Mildenhall chimed in with 22 not out as South (2-138) cruised past the Sharks’ 81 before declaring. Batting again, Beaumaris was 4-132 off 40 overs, with Nick Ritchie (56no) and Jonathan Leadbeater (38no) digging in.
