The quality of players in Big V Basketball went to another level in season 2023. Now we’ve revealed our top players from the Division 1 and 2 women’s competitions.

The Big V Women’s Basketball season has been another rollercoaster.
Across the Division 1 and 2 competitions, there has been plenty of exciting action.
Here’s a look at our best players of 2023.
Kylah Collins, Wallan
Led all scorers in the Division 2 women’s with 25.17 points per game, but offered so much more than a scoring punch.
Dakota Crichton, Warrnambool
The young star enjoyed a fine season with the Mermaids, scoring 14.24 points per game and also leading Division 1 in steals with 2.35 per game.
Courtney Hollowood, Surf Coast
The Surf Coast star was across all the key areas this season on the playmaking and scoring front. Hollowood found ways to interrupt offensive possessions as well.
Tyra Johnson, Mildura
The import guard was a late comer, arriving in Victoria’s northwest in mid-April, but had an immediate impact. She eventually led the Division 1 women’s scoring charts with 22 points per game. Also averaged 3.67 assists.
Siobhan Mac Aodha, Coburg
A leading force for a Coburg side that finished fifth on the ladder. The Giants star led her side in points scored and assists.
Jenna Mastellone, Western Port
A high volume shooter who led the offence for the Steelers throughout the season. Mastellone also had a strong presence defensively.
MaKenzie Miller, Gippsland United
Back for her second season with the club, Miller put together another brilliant season on both ends of the floor.
Isabella Nolen, Blackburn
Her team’s leading scorer but she brings much more than scoring power. A strong defensive presence with an average of two blocks per game.
Emmie O’Nial, Warrandyte
Put up some outstanding numbers across her 12 games with 15.58 points per game and a league leading 17.75 rebounds.
Anaya Rodisha, Collingwood
In 12 games, she enjoyed a strong season for the All Stars across several different stat categories.
Jessica Scannell, Surf Coast
Scannell is able to be called upon regularly with her ability to play big minutes. She averaged a double-double to highlight her importance to the Surf Coast.
Amelia Smith, Melbourne University
Averaged almost a double-double for the season as she played a key role for the Black Angels. Smith was also among the best defenders in Division 1.
Courtney Strait, Craigieburn
Helped propel the Eagles into the Division 1 finals series after a fantastic season where she averaged 19.39 points, 3.33 assists and was one of the league’s leading three-point shooters.
Lauren Tuplin, Gippsland United
The leading playmaker for the Division 2 premiership favourites. Tuplin pitched in with 4.68 assists per game.
Georgia Varley, Bellarine
The Bellarine star was able to impact the game in a variety of ways as one of Division 1’s leading scorers and playmakers.
Olivia Virt, Bellarine
A creative force for the Storm who knew exactly when to take on the big moments. She averaged 4.05 assists per game, to sit third in Division 1.
Jordan Wilson, Altona
The leading scorer for the Gators throughout the season with 13.38 points a game. Also showed an ability to consistently interrupt opponent’s shots.
Rachel Winter, Western Port
A superb season across all parts of the game. Winter averaged 15.95 points, 9.05 rebounds, 2.21 assists and 2.11 steasls.
Amy Wormald, Warrnambool
One of the leading playmakers in the division, Wormald also showed she could score big when required.
