The pooch friendly play ground near Ross Reserve is part of more than 22ha of new public space under and around elevated rail between Caulfield and Dandenong.
Planting works are now ramping up in the area as construction crews swap heavy machinery for gardening gloves.

Owner of ACE dog grooming in Noble Park, Frances Sadler said the need for off-leash areas was a popular topic of conversation among her clients.
“We talk about it a lot,” she said.
“For dogs, it gives them a chance to bond with their people, and it also allows people more time outside with their dogs”
“People have been at work all day, they’re tired, but the dogs have been stuck at home and they need to run it off,” she said.
“There are a lot of breeds that need to run — but not all people are capable of running, especially when they get older.”
The parkland project was developed by the Level Crossing Authority with help from an expert panel led by Royal Botanic Gardens Chief Tim Entwisle.
The panel recommended including a fenced dog park after community feedback revealed demand for an off-leash area in Noble Park.
And dog owners are being invited to submit a photo of their pet to the Level Crossing Authority’s online Pooches of Noble Park photo competition being held to celebrate the park which will open later this year.
Two winners will each receive a $50 voucher for ACE Dog Clipping and Grooming, with the prize pooches to be announced on 25 August — National Dog Day.
